Vampire Romance

It hadn't taken Sophie Ferguson long to realize her blind date was a bust. Unfortunately, she didn't succeed in leaving him behind. He followed, became threatening, and luckily, two strangers came to her rescue. When one asked if he could call her sometime, she was more than happy to say yes.

Sophie had done the date with Tybo, then agreed to be his date at a wedding. However, he hadn't realized his position as best man would keep him apart from Sophie most of the time, but he had put her in the more than capable hands of his friends Marguerite and Julius Notte. What she hadn't considered was that there would be another man she would meet at the wedding who would push all thoughts of Tybo out of her mind.

Alasdair MacKenzie hadn't expected to find his life mate at a wedding, but there she was. It was just his bad luck that she was someone else's date. But it was only for the wedding, and as difficult as it was to stay away, he would. Until the next day. But his luck was obviously still against him when he learned his uncles were helping him. He didn't need their idea of "help", but when he was possibly poisoned, and then run down in a hit and run, Alasdair realized it might be more than just bad luck, and he would need all the help he could get to keep both him and Sophie safe.

He could handle wooing Sophie on his own, he didn’t need any matchmaking tips.

I enjoyed Bad Luck Vampire from beginning to end. It was a surprise at the beginning to see Tybo meet Sophie, but that made the wedding all the more entertaining. I enjoyed the entire cast of both mortal and immortal characters, the mystery kept me guessing, and it made for a very late reading night. I found the twin relationship versus the new life mate relationship endearing and hope Alasdair's twin finds a mate soon. As always, I look forward to the next romance in the Argeneau series.
