Kara Lynn Russell's Orchard Hill Series

July 2010

Kara Lynn Russell has returned to Orchard Hill, and I am thrilled. I simply fell in love with this inspirational series. Orchard Hill is a small town and two of its residents engaged in a year long matchmaking competition. Now the year is over, but luckily, the series is not. See my review. Below, I have included a small blurb and links to the original nine stories in the series.

#1 This is another "Best Friends" romance with a hero "oh-so-in-love" with his heroine. See my review. This was followed by a free short story, A Long Silly Love Chase

#2 Angel has come to Orchard Hill to spread her wings, but Jeff has been asked to keep an eye out on his friend's little sister. See my review. This was followed by a free short story, Catching The Bouquet

#3 Lily had put up walls to distance herself from others. Luckily for her, there was Ian to help tear them down. See my review. This was followed by a free short story, An Angel's Advice

#4 Faith was in love with her boss Andrew, the school principal. He, of course, has no idea of either her feelings, or his own. I simply adore the scene where Andrew and Faith are bickering like immature students, not the principal and school secretary they in fact were.See my review.

#5 Oliver had always planned that love would never be a part of his life. Then he found Hope.See my review.

#6 David turns to Charity for an engagement of convenience. Neither of them ever count on love.See my review.

#7 The Velasquez household might overwhelm most, but Joseph was more than capable of handling his six charges. He didn't need the help of Harmony, his meddling homemaking television host of a neighbor.See my review.

#8 Shaun was in danger of losing his wife, Patience. Only through personal growth, and the help of friends, can he rescue his marriage with the woman he loves.See my review.

#9 Pastor Isaac has helped the members of his community. Now it is his turn to receive guidance, and everyone seems to be pushing him towards Joy. See my review.

First Comes Love is written as a letter that is essentially an epilogue to what was considered the end of the series. See my review.

Welcome

I truly enjoy sharing my love of reading. This site was started to allow me to share some of my favorite books. I hope that if you look around and find that you agree with some of my selections (see my reviews), that you will return and hopefully find new authors. I plan on having periodic "Recommended Reads" lists that will include books I recommend, as well as suggestions by visitors to this site. I will also keep you up-to-date on different upcoming events, special offers, etc.

As you look around, I'm still learning my way around HTML, etc. If you see any errors, typos, please e-mail me.

My Personal Disclaimer

Boy Meets Girl, They Fall in Love, and the two of them live Happily Ever After. This is the content for any book I believe is a true Romance Genre novel. The books that I recommend, or have reviews posted for will follow that format, unless I note otherwise. Granted we may know the outcome of a Romance Genre Novel, but it is the journey the characters take that is the reason we read these books. The Happily Ever After doesn't mean they're all vampires... Just means that the future is open to them, even if it is set 500 years in the past - we don't need to know their final chapter in life. At times I have have Recommend Reads by visitors to this site - I cannot guarantee that they meet my criteria for a Romance Genre Novel.
