Contemporary Romance

Twelve authors coming together and providing short stories for an anthology. Twelve short stories of empowered women overcoming obstacles and finding success and love. The Power of Love is an anthology of twelve romances written by some of today's brightest stars in the romance genre showing that sometimes anything is possible, given the power of love.

Hannah Godwin had never figured out what she wanted to do with her life. She had tried a couple degrees, and was now even going for a third. Then there was her psychic ability to read people's thoughts. Not their minds, but she tended to answer questions or finish thoughts before they were voiced aloud. That didn't help much in the work world...or in her dating world either.

Luke Warner was certainly distracted by the cute hero who claimed to be a psychic, but her continual ability to finish his sentences soon made a believer out of him. Unfortunately, his focus on her allowed the crook to escape, but he hoped that it wouldn't be the last time he saw Hannah.

Having Hannah join him and his K-9 Ralph for a ride along was not something Luke had wanted. Be with her, date her? Yes. Sit beside her, keep his hands off her, and have to act in a professional manner befitting an officer of the law? No. But he sure didn't want her with one of the other guys from the department. He wanted her all for himself.

Unpredictable was a tender romance with a woman accepting who she was. Hannah had always considered herself a bit of a freak, was unable to prevent spouting out thoughts crossing people's minds, and didn't anticipate finding a man willing to accept her. Luke definitely was the right man for her. He found her attractive, the entire "Hannah" package - psychic ability included. I truly enjoyed this story.
