Kathy is working with an animal rescue group when they find a large black dog that needs a lot of attention. Knowing that at the shelter his chances were slim, due to his size and potential medical expenses, she takes him home. But not to where she had been living.
To the home that she had left. To her soon-to-be ex-husband.
Danny's Dog is one of the most heart-wrenching romances I have ever read. To truly experience the story, Kathy and Walt's history must unfold as the story progresses, so I won't tell any more than I already have. I was simply amazed at Sarah McCarty's ability to write a romance that moved me so deeply in a mere forty pages. I doubt there will be any reader who will have a dry eye when they finish this story.
