Vampire Romance

Vincent Argeneau had been shocked to learn that his cousin, Bastien, had sent two investigators to help him. Two mortals who apparently were fully aware that the Argeneau family were immortals, and all that encompassed. Vincent was desperate for help, and if Bastien said they could help, Vincent was more than willing to utilize their expertise to find his saboteur.

Jackie Morrisey and her partner, Tiny, had been sent because someone was sabotaging Vincent's production company. One or two incidents could have been considered untimely accidents, but too many "coincidences" had forced Vincent to put a halt to everything. Jackie and Tiny knew that with Vincent's business closed, his enemy might now focus closer to home - and Jackie had no intention of anything happening to her client - vampire or not. She might have had a bad experience with one in the past, but she was a professional and would do her job in a professional manner.

Regardless of the less than professional thoughts that she might have regarding her client, she would just have to keep those thoughts to herself. After all, immortals could read minds. Jackie tried to assure herself that it would be even worse if Vincent wasn't able to read her mind. That would mean she could be his life mate.

Is there a category called Vampire Romantic Suspense - if not, then it should be considered started with A Bite to Remember. The assaults on Vincent's business had been annoying, but minor. Unfortunately, they had escalated to becoming a danger to immortal and mortal alike. The mystery is only part of the story as readers will laugh out loud with the interaction of all the characters - each of whom demand stories of their own. As if that wasn't enough, of course there is the beautiful romance of a vampire hero and his heroine whose past has made her vampire-shy. She has no intention of a relationship with an immortal, and would never consider becoming one.
