Psy-Changeling Series - Book 8

Berkley Sensation - July 2009

Paranormal Romance

Although each story in this series does stand alone, there is a continual evolution in the Psy-Changeling world. The premise for this story is tied to the previous stories. I recommend that this series be read in order.

Riley was a wolf changeling. SnowDancer's most senior lieutenant, and a man who was known as The Wall. He was a dominant male who was looking for a mate who he could cherish and protect. He still had nightmares about the abuse his younger sister had endured, knowing that he had not been there for her - hadn't been able to protect her. He had no intention of having a mate who would put herself in danger.

Mercy was a leopard changeling. She was a dominant female, and a DarkRiver sentinel. She worried that she might not find a mate. A female of her strength would not settle for a weaker male, nor would she allow a mate to dictate to her, or keep her from her duties.

Branded By Fire tells the story of a battle of wills which sizzles the pages and will keep readers impatient for more. It was fascinating watching the politics of an inter-changeling romance, especially considering their positions in their packs. It was touching to watch Mercy and Riley come to terms with the potential sacrifices they might have to endure. In the end, it was a thrilling read that proved that cats and dogs can play very nice.
