Due to the complex world building and continuing storylines, it is recommended to read this series in order. Although there are some spoilers to multiple previous stories, Partners in Persuasion could be read alone.
Felix knew a relationship between him and Dezi would not work. He was submissive, she was dominant. He had first-hand experience in that disaster. The fact that she was leopard while he was wolf wasn't as big an issue as it once might have been, especially now that another couple had already mated. But Felix wasn't ready to be eviscerated once again. If only he could keep himself from wanting to hurt Dezi's feelings.
Dezi wanted every piece of Felix from the moment she saw him. She'd never really considered a relationship with a submissive, but she knew there was more to Felix than just his status in the hierarchy. He had an almost magical touch when it came to plants, and had earned the respect of members from both of their packs. He had a toughness of spirit which had allowed him to recognize and overcome personal challenges.
Felix and Dezi couldn't deny the attraction between them, but it was only if they could focus on their similarities and not their differences that they could have any chance of a future together.
Partners in Persuasion is a tender, sexy romp certain to captivate readers. Felix is such a sweet hero, dedicated to his work, his family, and his pack. Dezi is used to going after what she wants, and she wants Felix. But she is hesitant, unwilling to use her position to ever take Felix's decisions from him. Such is the delicate line a submissive and dominant pair of shifters face, in any type of relationship. Watching the two slowly work together to find their HEA was a pleasure.
