Harry Blethyin sure hadn't planned on things ending up this way. As a private investigator, who just happened to be a werewolf, he was investigating some runaway "were". He tracked better while in wolf form, and one night he had tried to help a dog in trouble, and ended up locked up in a cage himself. Disgruntled at the indignity of his situation, Harry soon begins to realize that the woman who captured the wolf, may have captured his heart as well.
Marj Piper was on the lookout for a wolf and a naked man... and not for the obvious reason. She had locked a wolf in the shelter, then it was gone and she could have sworn there was a naked man in the cage. By the time she arrived to get a better look, both were missing. Definitely something she felt she should keep under wraps, Marj decided to accept the help of Harry to search for the wolf. He had ties to a wolf sanctuary, and she didn't want the local townspeople to take action. What she didn't realize was that she had asked Harry to search for... himself.
This is yet another twist in Susan Sizemore's world of the Primes. Although not a vampire romance, it is set in the world of the Primes and completely stands alone. Ms Sizemore has introduced the "were" - people who can change into various animals. As we can expect from this author, this book is filled with touches of light humor, interesting characters, and an enjoyable storyline.
